International law firm Seyfarth discloses ransomware attack

International law firm Seyfarth Shaw was the victim of a ransomware attack over the weekend. The company made over $700 million in gross revenue last year, placing it in the lower half of the top 100 highest-grossing law firm in the world. The timing of the attack is typical for cyber attacks, as companies have fewer employees working weekends. As a precaution, encrypted computers have been shut down as a precaution. The law firm did not find evidence that the attackers accessed or stole client or company data.
