Intel Fixes High-Severity Flaws in NUC, Discontinues Buggy Compute Module

Intel fixed nine high- and medium-severity flaws in its April security update. If exploited, the flaws could allow attackers to escalate privileges or launch denial-of-service attacks. Intel also fixed flaws in PROSet/Wireless Wi-Fi software, which allows Intel Wireless to function properly. Microsoft released 115 patches for 405 security vulnerabilities on Tuesday, while Oracle went light on the other end of the spectrum, with only five of the five CVEs addressed for April. The security updates come on the heels of Intel s March updates, where the chip manufacturer issued security patches for six high.
