Info-Sharing Bills: What Happens Next?

The White House is not getting everything it seeks in a cyberthreat information sharing law. The legislation offers more of what President Obama seeks than CISPA. The Senate has to take action as well as the White House, but the Senate has yet to act on the bill. Both bills furnish businesses with broad liability protections that would extend such safeguards to companies even if they choose not to share cyberthreat info with the government or each other.
