InfinityBlack hacker group dismantled by European authorities

Polish and Swiss law enforcement authorities dismantled ‘InfinityBlack’ hacker group after arresting five of its members in Poland last week. The InfinityBlack cybercrime gang was involved in distributing hundreds of millions of stolen user credentials. The Polish National Police seized the hackers’ electronic equipment, external hard drives, and multiple hardware cryptocurrency wallets, worth around 100 000. The hackers’ main source of revenue was loyalty scheme login credential theft and selling these credentials to other hacking groups that exchanged them for expensive electronic devices.
