American Land Title Association (ALTA) published a warning about hundreds of title company records having been supposedly stolen as part of a phishing campaign targeting ALTA members. ALTA advises affected companies to monitor their systems for unauthorized access and to immediately alert their IT departments as soon as they have any suspicions of data being collected and exfiltrated by bad actors. The data is still being analyzed by ALTA’s IT department, with the companies affected by this industry breach to be contacted if any connections to them will be found.
