The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) proposed changes that could mean domain owners who use a proxy service to keep their personal details private could no longer use that service. Only 20% of domains were registered via privacy or proxy services, according to a study requested by ICANN in 2013.
