How Firefox and Chromes New Tech Will Better Protect Your Browsing History

Firefox has announced its making encrypted DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) the default way of connecting to sites on the web. The idea behind DoH is to build on top of the encrypted data coming from the actual sites. DoH has been available as an option in Firefox for more than a year but is about to become the default. Google is experimenting with DoH with a subset of users in its upcoming release of Chrome v78. The encryption will only be turned on for the more tech-savvy people who’ve already changed their DNS settings.”]
