Two U.S. House committees held their first public hearings into the SolarWinds attack on Friday. Lawmakers and witnesses offered support for expanding federal cybersecurity laws to address the security failures. Executives of three tech and security firms affected by the attack spoke at the Senate Intelligence Committee earlier this week. The Senate Intelligence and Homeland Security Committee is conducting its own investigation into the attack.
