House Committee Seeks Crypto Calm

U.S. House Homeland Security Committee releases report on encryption debate. The goal of the report is to educate Congress on the contentious – and complex – crypto debate. But the report includes factual errors in its first paragraph that highlight common – but erroneous – “going dark” rhetoric. The debate isn’t about “security versus privacy,” but rather “security vs. security,” the report says.
