Susan McAndrew, a long-time OCR leader in HIPAA enforcement, has retired, and OCR Director Leon Rodriguez may be departing soon. McAndrew was “the mother of HIPAA,” retired from federal service on May 2. Rodriguez is awaiting a full Senate vote to become director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
