High-tech thieves used a relay attack to steal a Tesla Model S

Antony Kennedy’s Tesla Model S was stolen by thieves in Essex, England, on October 21. The thieves used a tablet to capture the signal from the key fob located in the house. It took under 50 seconds to trick the car into responding as if the owner was standing there with the fob. Tesla was reportedly able to recover all stolen vehicles in 2016. Milwaukee Bucks Vice President Alex Lasry’s 2018 Tesla Model X was stolen during the Bucks home opening game on Friday.”]
