Magellan Health Inc says it was the victim of a ransomware attack on April 11, 2020. The company was targeted by a phishing email phishing scam that impersonated a Magellan client. Magellan said that the attackers were able to gain access to employees’ email accounts on multiple dates. The hackers stole and exfiltrated “a subset of data from a single Magellan corporate server”” Magellan is not aware of any fraud attempts or misuse of stolen personal information stolen during the attack.”
