Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety (DADSS) is a five-year, $10 million program supported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and more than a dozen car manufacturers. DADSS envisions technology that could prevent anyone from operating a motor vehicle if their BAC exceeds 0.08%, which is the legal limit in 50 states.
