Phishing scams are often timed to coincide with product launches and news events, preying on victims excitement or vulnerability. Users were directed to a series of links and instructions leading them to other dubious web pages. One Facebook event page asked victims to provide their full names and Facebook handle. 100 invites earn them an Apple Watch, 250 a Sport and 500 a Watch edition, to be sold by Apple for $17,000.”]
