Google, Sun and Lenovo Fund Spyware Project

Google, Sun Microsystems and Lenovo have launched the Stop Badware project. The project is designed to find out if users downloads are invested with spyware, adware or other malicious content. The research will be conducted by the Oxford Internet Institute and the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. The group aims to release reports by February and may eventually lead to the production of tools that can help to clean infected PCs, BBC News reports. It is only in its research stage.”]
