Google apologized for the inappropriate content in a statement emailed to the Washington Post last week. The image of Googles Android icon peeing on an Apple logo was uploaded to Google Maps and which had stayed up for an undetermined time. Google introduced Map Maker in 2008 that lets users worldwide upload new data to the company’s online mapping service. Other pranks include a giant smiley face drawn onto Islamabad and a Skype logo that apparently no longer appears on Google Maps.
