Google accused of tracking school kids after it promised not to

The Electronic Frontier Foundation wants the Federal Trade Commission to investigate Google’s use of student data. The group says Google collected the data through its Google for Education program. It says the company records everything students do while they’re logged into their Google accounts. Google says it will soon disable the Chrome Sync feature in Chromebooks that shares student data across different Google services. Google declined to discuss the specifics of the allegations, but said it is confident the programs comply with the law and promises to keep the data private.”]
