Former NSA and CIA director Michael Hayden spoke at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C. He called people valuing privacy to a digital al-Qaida. Hayden ran the NSA during President Bush’s illegal warrantless wiretapping program. Hayden has been trying to put out fires caused when the public learned about secret NSA surveillance.
