European Union (EU) adopted new approach to protecting data of individuals within its member countries. New rules on the export of personal data outside the EU will go into effect in May 2018. Failure to meet the requirements will result in heavy penalties for companies that do business within the EU. Data protection platform provider Digital Guardian has collected research from several sources to illustrate GDPR requirements and to help businesses prepare for the new regulations.
