Singapore-based cybersecurity firm Group-IB released a June 23, 2020, report into the “Fxmsp” hacking operation that deduced the identity of the group’s alleged leader. Kazakhstan national Andrey Turchin, 37, was named as likely being the hacker known as Fxmp in the June report. U.S. attorneys say the government’s investigation is continuing, and that they expect to charge more individuals in connection with the probe of the hacking group.
