Full Year 2018 DDoS Trends Report: Frequency Rising

The number of attacks over 10Gbps have doubled, while the duration of attacks continues to decrease. Low volume, sub-saturating attacks continue to dominate, with the average attack lasting less than 10 minutes. The average number of DDoS attacks per customer is up 16% year-over-year. DDoS-for-hire services are commonplace, inexpensive, and easy to use. The average attack is becoming even shorter, with 81% now lasting just under 10 minutes per attack.”]
