Forum software vendor vBulletin breached apparently by vBulletin hack

Many forums, message boards and social networking sites use vBulletin, including Macrumors and Ubuntu Forums. But the company has now apologised for poor security of its own. The breach notification ends with: “Please choose a new password and do not use the same password you used with us previously. We also highly recommend that you chose [sic] a password that you are not using on any other site. ONE ACCOUNT, ONE PASSWORD. Please choose a password you are using on other sites. One password, one password for one account.”]
