Former NYC Commissioner Kerik Pleads Not Guilty to Corruption Charges (links)

Bernard Kerik, former police commissioner for New York City, pleads not guilty to federal corruption charges. Kerik was indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday on 16 counts including conspiracy, mail fraud, and wire fraud. The former NYPD commissioner pleaded not guilty on Friday to 16 counts, including conspiracy and mail fraud. He is accused of defrauding the city of New York, New Jersey, in order to cover up the cost of the city’s $1.2 billion budget deficit.”]
