President Obama tapped former national security adviser Tom Donilon and IBM CEO Sam Palmisano to head new cybersecurity panel. The bipartisan, government-industry panel will provide recommendations to strengthen public and private sectors’ IT security. The commission has a Dec. 1 deadline to produce a report that will advise Obama and the next president on steps to improve cybersecurity. The panel will have up to a dozen members, all appointed by the president, all members of Congress and the White House.
