The vulnerability could be exploited by a remote and unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code or trigger a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. The flaw received a Common Vulnerability Scoring System base score of 10.0. The list of affected products includes Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches and Cisco 7600 Series Routers.
