Five More Banks Closed by Regulators

Community Bank of West Georgia, Villa Rica, Georgia, closed by the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance. Neighborhood Community Bank, Newnan, GA was the ninth bank in Georgia to fail in 2009. MetroPacific Bank, Irvine, California, and Mirae Bank, Los Angeles, closed on Friday. Horizon Bank in Pine City, MN was shut by the Minnesota Department of Commerce, and the FDIC was named receiver. The last FDIC- insured institution in California to be closed was First Bank of Beverly Hills, Calabasasas on April 24.”]
