The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation recommends travelers to avoid connecting their phone, tablet, or computer to free Wi-Fi hotspots while traveling during the holiday season. The agency also recommends disabling location services on your devices and not sharing any info on your travels. Smart TVs and smart TVs also need to be secured against potential attackers, not exposing your other devices to attacks. If you have guests staying at your home, consider having them use a separate (guest) network if your router supports it.
