FBI director renews push for back doors, urging vendors to change business models

FBI Director James Comey renews push for backdoors into encrypted communications. He says tech companies need to change their business model to sell products that can be unlocked by a court order. Comey says encryption hinders FBI investigations and that tech leaders recognize it. Security industry says backdoors represent weaknesses in encryption schemes that could be exploited by parties who dont have court orders. Comey: “We all agree we have to figure out whether we can maximize both of those values – safety and security on the Internet and public safety””]
