Facebook’s Purge So Far: 69,000 Apps Suspended

Facebook says it has suspended 69,000 apps as part of its ongoing investigation into data misuse that grew out of the Cambridge Analytica scandal. The company wont disclose the suspended apps, but a court filing unsealed on Friday put the number at 69,00. Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey says Facebook has fought to shield information about improper data-sharing with app developers. Most of the apps were not necessarily suspended for collecting too much data but rather for not responding to email inquiries from Facebook.”]
