Facebook Privacy Breach: 100 Developers Improperly Accessed Data

Facebook said that 100+ third-party app developers had access to restricted data for members of Groups, in its latest privacy snafu. Facebook said they ve seen no evidence of abuse, but will ask developers to delete any member data they retained. The apps were primarily social-media management and video-streaming apps designed to make it easier for group admins to manage their groups more effectively and to help members share videos to their groups. The data was restricted in 2018 by Facebook after the Cambridge Analytica privacy incident. The social media company said it will conduct audits to confirm that all improperly-collected data has been deleted.
