74 cybercrime groups were offering illicit services from email spamming tools to stolen credentials right on Facebook s platform. In total, the groups had approximately 385,000 members and some had been up on Facebook for as long as eight years. Facebook said it is removing any Pages, Groups and accounts affiliated with these users and is continuing to investigate. Facebook says it is investing heavily to fight this type of activity and is working with Cisco Talos to take down the groups.
