Engineer sentenced to 18 months in the slammer for accessing former employers networks

Jason Needham, 45, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for accessing his former employer’s networks without proper authorization. Needham left his employer Allen & Hoshall in 2013 to found his own engineering firm, HNA Engineering. He accessed the email account of an A&H employee hundreds of times from an IP address associated with his home, office, and/or cellular telephone provider. He downloaded 82 AutoCAD files, more than 100 PDF documents containing, among other things, project proposals and budgetary documents. The FBI subsequently got involved and discovered the computer intrusion and Needham didnt stop.”]
