Dutch certificate authority DigiNotar has filed for voluntary bankruptcy. US parent company VASCO Data Security International announced the move today. CEO T. Kendall Hunt said the incident has ‘no impact’ on VASco’s core authentication technology. The technological infrastructures of the two companies remain completely separated, meaning that there is no risk for infection of the parent firms strong security infrastructure, Hunt said.
