Ecuador Kiboshes WikiLeaks Leader’s Internet Connection

Ecuador says it will continue to offer asylum to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and “safeguard his life and physical integrity” Assange’s internet connection was cut Oct. 15 after WikiLeaks published transcripts of speeches by Hillary Clinton. Ecuadorian government says it has exercised its sovereign right to temporarily restrict access to some of WikiLeaks’ private communications network within its embassy in London.
