DOJ Staffer Tapped to Head US-CERT

The U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) was founded in 2003. The group coordinates the nation’s response to computer attacks. It has come under criticism from the private sector for being too secretive. The new director will report to Cornelius Tate, director of the DHS’s National Cyber Security Division. She replaces Mike Witt, who is the chief IT security technologist at the Department of Justice and adjunct professor at The George Washington University’s Cyber Defense Lab in Washington.”]
