DHS Losing a Senior Cybersecurity Leader

Michael Locatis is the assistant secretary for the Office of Cybersecurity and Communications in the Department of Homeland Security. He has resigned, effective Jan. 18, nine months after he took the job. Deputy Assistant Secretary Bobbie Stempfley will again fill in until a permanent replacement is found. DHS Undersecretary Rand Beers, in a letter to employees, didn’t give a reason for Locatis’ departure. Locatis served as Colorado’s CIO and California’s deputy CIO.”]
