Security breach exposed personal data of thousands of HCL employees. Credentialed employees’ names, phone numbers and more were exposed on May 1. The data was found on a public domain, but it’s not clear if it was used for malicious purposes. HCL is an $8 billion company with more than 1,000 employees. The breach is believed to be the result of a breach of the company s SmartManage reporting system, which allows users to access information about projects.
