Data Collected from Old Breaches Is Not a New Data Breach

This is just a collection of old data breaches that was compiled into a a single folder called Collection #1. The collection contains decrypted, or dehashed, passwords for many of the accounts, which makes it much easier to use in attacks. One of the files in it may contain information from a breach as old as 2008. It’s a good thing that Troy Hunt, who found the database, wrote about it and added the information into his Have I Been Pwned? site so people can determine if they should change their passwords.
