D-Link MEA Site Caught Running Cryptocurrency Mining Script – Or Was It Hacked?

D-Link Middle East website has been found secretly adding a JavaScript-based cryptocurrency miner to its official Middle East site. Security firm Seekurity blog post published by Seekurity on Tuesday. The Pirate Bay recently added a Javascript-based mining script to its website with no opt-out option. The company took down the website and redirected it to a different domain, without responding to Seekurity’s request. Since the company redirected the whole website to another domain instead of removing a single line of hidden iFrame code, there are high chances that D-link has been hacked.
