Cybersecurity AWOL in State of the Union

President Obama emphasized cybersecurity in last year’s State of the Union address. Obama’s lone mention of cybersecurity came as an addendum to a section of the speech that dealt with battling terrorists. Obama also made a fleeting reference to privacy concerns resulting from NSA surveillance programs. White House national security spokeswoman says dearth of cybersecurity mentioned in speech doesn’t mean it’s not an administration priority. Cybersecurity expert: “One mention is better than none, which is what most of the world got” Cybersecurity experts say the president all but ignored other important matters.”]
