Defense contractors Rheinmetall AG and Defence Construction Canada (DCC) were hit by cyber-attacks that disrupted their information technology systems. The German-based defense contractor is one of the world’s top suppliers of military equipment and systems. DCC’s IT systems were also affected by a cyber-attack earlier this month, with some of the issues still affecting the company until today. The incidents are added to a long list of other attacks targeting other companies around the world, with most of them having been hit by alleged ransomware or cryptominer infections.
