Cryptoloot, XMRig, and Jsecoin take first, third, and fifth place in Check Point’s latest Global Threat Index. Check Point also examined the most exploited security vulnerabilities during March 2019, arriving at the conclusion that the CVE-2017-7269 (Microsoft IIS WebDAV ScStoragePathFromUrl Buffer Overflow) was the most popular one with a 44% overall impact. The mobile malware rankings see only a switch between the first and second place, with the Hiddad Android malware used to deliver ads on compromised devices replacing the Lotoor hacking tool designed to mobile devices.
