Critical Flaws Haunt Adobe Shockwave Player

Vulnerabilities affect Adobe Shockwave Player 11.5.2.602 and earlier versions, on Windows and Mac operating systems. An attacker who successfully exploits the vulnerabilities could run malicious code on the affected system. Adobe says more than 450 million Internet-enabled desktops have installed the Shockwave player. The vulnerabilities affect more than half of the world’s Internet-connected desktops, the company says. It recommends users uninstall Shockwave version 11.6.602 on their systems, restart their systems and install a new version.
