A California-based organization that helps telemarketing companies avoid lawsuits for unsolicited calls exposed some of its internal files to the internet. The data exposed includes names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and IP addresses. The breach also exposed data on thousands of U.S. consumers who expressed interest about health insurance, home mortgage refinancing and small business loans. Ironically, the breach exposed the phone numbers of those whove filed complaints about unsolicited telemailing calls and alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991.”]
