Daniel Caprio has left his position as Chief Privacy Officer for the US Department of Commerce. He joins conservative think tank The Progress & Freedom Foundation as Executive Vice President. Caprio joined the department in May 2004 and previously served as special assistant and chief of staff for FTC commissioner Orson Swindle.
