Internet service providers and e-commerce sites can employ more tools to combat phishing scams, report says. Internet companies should use “white lists” of legitimate websites and use false ID information to scam the scammers, it says. The report was released by a coalition of consumer groups, technology vendors, financial services organizations and law enforcement agencies.
