AuditBoard survey: 22% of respondents say they plan to implement cloud-based technology this year. Majority of audit teams will use cloud technology for the first time in 2021, survey finds. Cloud-based tech use by internal audit teams continues to grow for two major reasons: the need to modernize and a requirement for fewer manual processes. Cloud technology offers improved agility, productivity, and collaboration across distributed organizations, according to the survey. The top challenges internal auditors said they experienced in 2020 provides an explanation for the substantial increase in their planned adoption of new cloud technology.
