Cloud vendors are greatly hardened their approach to contracting, even in very large engagements. The vendor’s stated position is that the customer is solely liable for the data it entrusts to the vendor. This is, unfortunately, not an isolated instance, but part of an overall trend we are seeing from a growing number of cloud providers. Unless businesses start to take a hard line, themselves, on these issues, cloud providers will continue to offer less and less protection to their customers. Already, customer organizations are being formed to share information and discuss these issues.”]
