Clop ransomware leaks ExecuPharm’s files after failed ransom

Clop Ransomware leaked files stolen from U.S. pharmaceutical company ExecuPharm after ransom negotiations allegedly failed. The company refused to pay the ransom as first reported by Techcrunch. The attack was publicly disclosed in a notice of data breach letter sent to affected individuals and filed with the office of Vermont’s Attorney General. The attackers stole 163GB worth of financial, accounting, and employees’ documents, as well as SQL backups of the company’s document management system. The stolen personal information could be used for identity theft and for securing credits in victims’ names.
