Google has patched a huge number of security vulnerabilities in its Chrome browser, fixing 11 high-severity flaws. Chrome 24 is a major security update from Google and there are several bugs fixed in this version that should make it an immediate upgrade for most users. The most serious vulnerabilities patched in the newest version of the browser include a pair of use-after-free bugs. The new version of Chrome revokes the extended validation status of a problematic certificate issued by TurkTrust and discovered last month by Google officials.
